The 5-axis waterjet adopts high-pressure water jet technology. It mixes garnet sand with water through a high-pressure pump and ejects the mixture through a sand pipe to form high-pressure impact for material cutting. The 5-axis waterjet produced by Hualong Machinery can be equipped with either Italian brand or domestic brand CNC systems. This 5-axis waterjet boasts powerful cutting performance, featuring a wide processing range, fast cutting speed and smooth cutting surface. Its cutting head can achieve 60-degree chamfering and 360-degree rotation, enabling the completion of cutting operations for more complex shapes. The applicable materials for cutting include stainless steel, copper plates, aluminum plates, iron plates, stone materials, glass and various composite materials, etc.
Regarding the cutting efficiency of the 5-axis waterjet, the following reference data are provided: when cutting 10mm-thick steel plates, the cutting speed is approximately 200mm per minute; when cutting 18mm-thick marble, the cutting speed is 1600mm per minute; when cutting 18mm-thick granite, the cutting speed is 700mm per minute; when cutting 10mm-thick glass, the cutting speed is 800mm per minute. It should be noted that the cutting speed varies with the type and thickness of the material, and the mesh size of the abrasive corresponding to different materials also differs. The appropriate mesh size of the abrasive will be selected according to the hardness of the material.
